My Killer Lower Body Workout for Tonight!

Hi!

This workout might not look very hard but I promise, you will sweat buckets if you try it.

I cannot overemphasize the importance of eating.  I try to avoid eating large meals and instead opt for more smaller meals throughout my day, or the so called “gazing.”

Also, it is very crucial we get enough rest, both mental and physical.

So, when you’re ready, do a short 2-5 minute warmup of your choice, and then do the following:

  • 12 Sliding lunges (used a small towel to slide on the hardwood floor) – front leg stays anchored, back leg slides away and then back, alternatively you can just float your leg back or simply lunge it.
  • 12 Side sliding lunges (same idea but to the side)
  • 12 One-Legged squat (I held two 7 lbs DB but you can just do it with your body weight)
  • 10 Burpees
  • 12 Step-ups (stepping up on a chair and then down, option – hold 7 lbs DB)
  • 5 Burpees
  • 12 Cross-over step-ups with same DB (lift one leg and cross it over the other before stepping up on the platform, keep hips square, step back down, change sides after the set)
  • 5 Burpees
  • 12 One leg dead lift with balance followed by one leg jump on the standing leg (option – hold some weight)

REPEAT CIRCUIT AS FOLLOWS:

  • 10 Burpees
  • 12 Sliding lunges (you may add bicep curls this time)
  • 12 Side sliding lunges (no curls)
  • 5 Burpees
  • 12 One Legged squats
  • 5 Burpees
  • 12 Step-ups
  • 5 Burpees
  • 12 Cross-over step-ups
  • 5 Burpees
  • 12 One leg dead lift with leg jump
  • 5 Burpees – each one coming with personal dedication!

Phew… stretch and enjoy a hard earned meal!

Next, I will share an interval workout.

Peace!!
